How to make roasted chickpeas.

  • 1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

  • 2 tsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

  • 1/2 tsp Herbamare (or to taste)

  • Pepper, freshly ground (to taste)


  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.

  2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas. Pat them dry with a towel or paper towel.

  3. Add chickpeas, oil, salt, garlic powder, Herbamare, and pepper to a baking sheet.

  4. Mix the chickpeas together so that they are well coated with oil.

  5. Bake at 425 F for 25 minutes or until they reach your preferred level of crispiness. Stir the chickpeas around a few times during cooking and add additional sprinkles of salt (to taste) if needed.

  6. Serve warm or cold as a snack, on salads, or on pasta. They can be stored in the fridge for a few days (if they even last that long!).
